Lowcountry Harley-Davidson Trunk or Treat
Buffalo Soldiers of North Charleston made a donation and volunteered to assist in the Lowcountry Harley-Davidson Trunk or Treat. This event brought entertainment to the community to include a photo booth, haunted house, antique car show and of course free candy!
Lowcountry Food Bank
Founded in 1983, Lowcountry Food Bank strives to fulfill our mission to lead the fight against hunger throughout the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina. We are headquartered in Charleston with a Southern Regional Distribution Center in Yemassee and a Northern Regional Distribution Center in Myrtle Beach.
Buffalo Soldiers Charity Ride
Buffalo Soldiers of North Charleston organized and led a Charity Ride with proceeds benefitting the Lowcountry Food Bank, Beyond Our Walls and the March of Dimes.
Bowling For Backpacks
Buffalo Soldiers of North Charleston organized and hosted the Bowling for Backpacks event with proceeds benefitting the Lowcountry Food Bank's Backpack Buddies program. BackPack Buddies is designed to fight weekend hunger. Thousands of children in our community rely on free or reduced-price meals they receive at school. BackPack Buddies helps fill the meal gap on weekends and holidays. Children at partner schools who experience hunger are enrolled in the program and receive a backpack containing nutritious food to eat each Friday during the school year.
Church and School Visits
Buffalo Soldiers of North Charleston had to honor to visit multiple schools and churches. Some visits include a presentation on the 9th and 10th Cavalries of the Buffalo Soldiers. If you would like to book a presentation, please contact us!
Meals on Wheels
Buffalo Soldiers of North Charleston volunteered to deliver meals with Meals on Wheels! Meals on Wheels mission is to empower local community programs to improve the health and quality of life of the seniors they serve so that no one is left hungry or isolated.
